This colourful country at the heart of South America finds itself hemmed in by Brazil, Argentina and Bolivia. Twice the size of the UK, it has only one tenth of that country’s population and endures a cycle of corruption and poverty which restrains development.
SAMS’ work began in the ‘Green Hell’ of the Chaco among the Enxet Indians and its pioneer Wilfred Barbrooke Grubb became known as ‘El pacificador de los indios’. That work continues today alongside urban ministries. |
