With the most successful – and least corrupt - economy in South America, Chile has made considerable progress in recent years, though as in other parts of the continent poverty is never far away.
SAMS’ pioneer work among the Mapuche people of the south has helped give the Anglican Church a heroic reputation. At the same time rapid growth since the 1970s among the upper middle classes, thanks to Godly and gifted leaders, has gained the church great respect in influential circles. |
