Our Vision
Our vision is for young people’s lives to be turned upside down, by a cross cultural mission experience in South America, Spain or Portugal.
Latino Experience creates opportunities for British (mostly young) people
- to live alongside local Christians and share their lives, worship and mission
- to form friendships with Christians from the receiving church or organization
- to grow and develop in their faith as they see God at work
- to gain a greater awareness of the issues facing the receiving culture and indigenous church
In order to do this, the Latino Experience team will be ready:
- to serve the local church
- to seek to fulfill the task(s) identified by the receiving church or organization. This task could be; practical (painting, decorating, building); social (helping in a children, youth or outreach project) or; evangelistic (street evangelism, drama, outreach), but should always be a part of an overall project or strategy that the church or organization is working on, and be a benefit to them.
In this process, a Latino Experience team may also
- initiate a longer term relationship between their sending church and receiving church or organization.
